While five of New England’s casinos are still waiting to open, Mohegan Sun continues to roll out the promotions and expand its reopening. For almost ten years, Mohegan Sun has rolled out gambling Hot Summer Sun. It features promotions, free t-shirts, and much more. Free entertainment and “Party On The Rooftop” will not be a part of Mohegan “Sun’s Hot Summer Fun this year.”
Meanwhile, Massachusetts and Maine casinos continue to wait for the green light to open. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is looking towards a late July opening. Maine’s two casinos are closed indefinitely. But, Connecticut’s tribal casinos are pushing forward. Both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun raise the guest capacity, open more restaurants, and add to the number of hotel rooms available.

What Is Mohegan Sun’s Hot Summer Fun?
From June 29th to September 4th, Monday through Friday, this year will feature Hot Summer Fun. This is what’s waiting for Momentum members at this annual event.
Monday is More Money Mondays
Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash by playing their favorite slots or table games. One Momentum member is selected every 30 minutes from 10:00 am – 7:30 pm and win $500 cash.
Status Showdown Tuesdays
Momentum members can play their favorite slots or wager in the Race Book from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm. The members with the top five scores per status level will win Momentum Dollars. Momentum members must be Ignite, Leap, Ascend, or Soar members to be eligible.
Hot Summer Fun is Back at Mohegan Sun With More Momentum Wednesdays
Depending on your game, Wednesday’s momentum earnings offer two different Momentum promotions.
- Momentum members who play their favorite slots from 6:00 am – Midnight to receive Double Momentum Dollars.
- Double Status Points are earned while playing table games, including stadium gaming and placing wagers in the Race Book.
Also, Wednesday is Bring-A-Friend Free Slot Play Day. Any Momentum member who brings a friend to create a new Momentum will receive $10.00 in Free Slot Play for themselves and $10.00 in Free Slot Play for the new member.
Win All Day Thursdays
From 11:00 am – 9:00 pm, Momentum members can win a share of prizes, including incredible gifts and experiences. All you have to do is play your favorite slots, table games, and stadium games. Winners must be present to win.

That’s right, between July 3rd – September 4th, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Uncas Ballroom will receive a free t-shirt. Uncas Ballroom is in the Casino of the Sky. Actually, collect all 10. The t-shirt giveaway starts at 10:00 am.
